Hatton Wall Quadlex Case Study
Natralight was commissioned to design and install sliding box rooflights for a workshop conversion project at Hatton Wall Quadlex in London.
Our range of sliding box access-type rooflights are the perfect solution for property owners looking to add a stylish entrance to a roof terrace.
The innovative design enables your staircase handrail to continue up to the roof exit point and the fixed vertical panels providing a balustrade to the perimeter of the opening.
Electrically operated as standard, they also have a sliding box control system that incorporates battery backup, safety edge sensor, rain sensor, remote control plus an external keypad entry.
Property Refurbishment in London’s Jewellery Quarter
Based in Hatton Garden, the Jewellery Quarter of the capital, the property was based at a retained shop above street level.
The building had previously been extensively refurbished with a dormer roof extension added which celebrates the urban condition of weathered brickwork and the industrial context. This resulted in a residential Quadlex apartment, with three bedrooms and bathrooms at the lower levels plus a living space with a double-height study and a roof terrace access using our sliding box rooflights from the top floor kitchen/dining area.
The project was designed with a number of complementary materials and finishes, as a background for the client's eclectic collection of vintage furniture and lighting from different periods and styles.
Natralight was delighted to work with Emulsion Architecture on the Hatton Wall Quadlex project. The London-based architecture firm is renowned for its diverse mix of distinctive architecture and interior design projects for homes, shops, workplaces, exhibitions and installations all over the world.
