Elgin Crescent - London
Husband and wife David Connor and Kate Darby were looking to revamp the look of their west London penthouse flat in Elgin Crescent - by lifting off the roof!
The couple chose to work with Natralight on the installation of an electronically-operated full sliding rooflight. The retractable area of the rooflight also slid over the fixed part.
This opened up their properties to the elements, flooding the rooms below with natural light.
Given how densely populated the capital is, one of the only options to modify your property was to look to the sky rather than a traditional conservatory extension.
Elgin Crescent is based in one of the must-visit areas in London, Notting Hill. From charming streetscapes, fantastic restaurants and vibrant culture - it has it all!
As you can see the results (above) are truly spectacular, leading to the installation featuring in Home Magazine.
Working with Natralight for Skylights
Here at Natralight we manufacture all of our skylights to give your property extra ventilation whilst ensuring you gain maximum exposure to sunlight, whether your rooflight is open or not.
Whilst David and Kate chose the full sliding option, we also offer a full-slide opening version which retracts fully onto an adjacent roof area.
Our high-quality thermally efficient rooflights meets all the requirements for the latest Building Regulations. Its in-built telescopic sliding mechanism allows the skylight to support its own weight when fully opened. This means there is no need for any roof tracks or further roof penetrating supports.
